ROOTS
I found yoga when I was 15. My first teacher, Morgan, noticed my passion and knack for flowing through the postures, and invited me to begin assisting her in class. At 19, I met Dharma Mittra, who became my beloved teacher with whom I completed the 200-hour Life of a Yogi Teacher Training Certification the following year. What began as a salve for heartbreak over a teenage friendship breakup has become a treasured ritual I’ve practiced for over 20 years.
Asana and meditation practice (only two of many ways to practice yoga) offer rewards that deepen over time: for me, these include flexibility, strength, resilience, grounding, a calmer nervous system, improved overall health, and profound joy. I absolutely delight in guiding and supporting my students on their own practice journey.
